Because biochemistry and nutrition are complex subjects and in the interest of accuracy, we cannot simply substitute one word for another. However, in recent years, we have decided to make our product descriptions more accessible, adding illustrations, scientific sources, clearer paragraphs, and some practical advice. We try our best to make the physiological mechanisms involved understandable so you can make informed choices.

We manufacture 60% of our products in the United States and 40% in Europe. The American market remains by far the global benchmark for nutritional supplementation, and we formulate most of our products here.

We have different packaging depending on the products. Most of them are made of recyclable high-density polyethylene (HDPE), a large part is made of glass, and the rest is made of cardboard.

We recommend you to store your dietary supplements in a dry, cool, and closed place, free from heat, humidity, and light. It is also strongly advised to keep them in their original container because the packaging was specifically chosen according to the product, to ensure optimal efficiency. Nothing is left to chance.

However, know that some supplements need to be stored in the fridge, like probiotics for example, to preserve the living micro-organisms. But don’t worry, this kind of detail is specified on the product’s label.

Once the bottle is opened, you can take our supplements until you reach the term of their expiration date – written underneath each of our products. If you keep taking them after the date has expired, you do not risk being harmed. However, efficiency is no longer guaranteed!

In general, this should not cause any concern. However, it usually results in a faster release of the active substances contained in the capsule, which can lead to a greater risk of side effects, as well as a decrease in the absorption of molecules by the body.
In some cases, it is not recommended at all:

• When the capsule is “gastro-resistant”. The capsule’s covering protects the molecules from stomach acid; opening it leads to its degradation and reduces its effectiveness.
• When the capsule or tablet is “delayed release” or “extended release”. As these were designed to release their content progressively, the degradation of the covering leads to a release of active substances at inadequate doses.

Capsules are usually made of two shells nested inside each other. If you want to reduce their dose, we recommend that you buy empty caps and divide the contents of one into two. If you want to break a tablet, we recommend using a cutter to get cleaner pieces. You can also grind the tablet into powder and sprinkle it over your food.
You cannot open a softgel (oily capsule) as it is made of only one piece, but you can pierce it and pour the contents into a drink or food. However, we cannot guarantee a pleasant taste! The absorption of the active ingredients may also be reduced.
