The skin is covered with a hydrolipidic film (a mix of oil and water) that must not be damaged, as it protects the epidermis and supports better hydration and suppleness. Cleansing (morning and evening) must be effective enough to remove impurities and traces of pollution, but gentle enough not to irritate or weaken skin cells.
The ideal approach is to cleanse with water and a gentle, pH-neutral soap. On damp skin, lather the soap and massage in circular motions from the cheeks up to the forehead, without forgetting the neck. Rinse and gently pat dry with a towel.
The active ingredients in skincare products can be powerful - and can ultimately be counterproductive (oilier skin, increased sensitivity, dullness…) if they do not match your skin’s needs. A poorly adapted product will not deliver the expected results (radiant complexion, hydrated skin, etc.).
