Our IsoQuercitrin supplement should deliver a highly bioavailable form of quercetin in vegetarian capsules.* This formula may help maintain seasonal balance and antioxidant defenses, while also potentially promoting comfort in the eyes and sinuses.*
What is Alpha-Glycosyl IsoQuercitrin?*
IsoQuercitrin – also known as alpha-oligoglucosyl IsoQuercitrin, alpha-glycosyl IsoQuercitrin, or EMIQ – is an enzymatically modified form of quercetin designed with the aim of providing improved solubility and absorption.*
Naturally found in some vegetables and botanicals, quercetin seems to be valued for its biological activity, but traditional forms may have limited bioavailability.* EMIQ is derived from another flavonol, rutin, through rather gentle enzymatic processes, to possibly encourage absorption.*
According to research, EMIQ is presumed to provide up to 17 times more bioavailability within 12 hours of ingestion compared to dihydroquercetin.*
In vitro studies appear to suggest that two digestive enzymes – lactase and maltase-glucoamylase – may play a role in its breakdown in the intestine, possibly allowing quercetin to be released and absorbed.*
The water-soluble format of EMIQ seems to help make it a preferred option among quercetin sources.*

Potential Benefits of Isoquercetin*
Like most flavonoids, IsoQuercitrin often seems to be chosen for its potential to help maintain seasonal balance and antioxidant defenses.* In a double-blind study of 24 individuals, IsoQuercitrin supplementation over 8 weeks during pollen season appeared to help support comfort in the eyes and sinuses.*
In order to attempt making the most out of supplementation, users may begin to take isoquercetin approximately 2 weeks before seasonal changes and continue use as needed.* It might also be paired with other nutrients such as vitamin C or zinc.*
Research and IsoQuercitrin Supplements*
Emerging studies seem to suggest that IsoQuercitrin may help:*
- Maintain already healthy blood pressure levels.*
- Promote antioxidant activity and cellular protection.*
- Support already healthy metabolic processes and overall vitality.*
- Maintain normal muscle performance and recovery.*
- Provide a possibly well-tolerated option, as it may have been evaluated for safety and generally recognized as safe (GRAS) in the United States since 2003.*
