Prostate Supplements

Prostate and urinary health

Are you, like one in two males over 50, suffering with prostate problems? Or perhaps you’re a woman whose life is blighted by the urgent need to urinate? Supersmart offers a range of the best dietary supplements for supporting urinary health and combatting prostate problems.

Some of our products address the many consequences of an aging prostate: the frequent need to urinate, erectile problems, painful micturition … To combat this widespread problem known as benign prostatic hyperplasia (or enlarged prostate) and improve its associated symptoms, we’ve selected the most widely-studied plants (nettle root, cranberry, saw palmetto …) and taken steps to ensure the best possible bioavailability of their active ingredients. ProstaNatural Formula is probably the ultimate prostate supplement, but Prostaphil and Saw Palmetto are also among our most popular prostate products.

Other natural remedies are aimed more at supporting urinary health and the kidneys, and are formulated to relieve the urgent need to urinate, incontinence problems or repeated infections. One such product is Complete Uricare, an exceptional natural formulation which has enjoyed rapid success with our customers.

Dietary supplements to support prostate health

In Europe, prostate cancer is the most common form of cancer and the third-leading cause of cancer death in men. Natural prostate cancer supplements and various foods unquestionably offer a valuable means of prevention. A number of studies have demonstrated the protective effects of foods containing lycopene (tomatoes, watermelon and grapefruit), selenium (nuts, fish and offal) and antioxidants. Since effects are dose-dependent, taking dietary supplements for prostate cancer would seem to be a wise choice.

For some years now, it has been thought that natural products also play an important role in the treatment of prostate cancer. Their effect on a natural cellular recycling process called autophagy which is involved in cancer treatment is not yet fully understood but is nevertheless genuine. Regular consumption of cruciferous vegetables (cabbage, turnips, swede, radishes and rocket) which produce natural compounds called isothiocyanates may therefore be associated with a decreased risk of prostate cancer and with less severe symptoms. In the same way, foods rich in polyphenols and certain vitamins may have anti-tumor effects.
