Diosmin Supplement To Support Blood Circulation

Diosmin Plus is a flavonoid supplement standardized to 80% diosmin, a natural compound that supports circulation. Our diosmin supplement is designed to naturally aid in the reduction of effects associated with venous insufficiency while supporting the improvement of circulation throughout the body.

What is Diosmin?

Diosmin is a plant compound known as a flavonoid. Flavonoids contain antioxidant properties. Antioxidants are chemicals that have the opportunity to reduce damage caused by free radicals by interacting with and neutralizing them.

Diosmin is now harvested from hesperidin, another popular flavonoid found in citrus fruits. In fact, orange rinds are especially rich in hesperidin. Hesperidin and Diosmin are reported to include various benefits for the brain and heart.

Potential Benefits of Diosmin

Does diosmin help hemorrhoids? Alongside the relationship between diosmin and hemorrhoids, Diosmin Plus may provide assistance to anyone dealing with the ailments listed below.

Circulation and Vein Health

It appears that diosmin may promote blood flow and circulation, aiding in countering venous insufficiency and other circulatory issues. Venous insufficiency is characterized by a defect in the nervous system, specifically in the veins’ valves which enable blood to be transported back up the legs.

The consequent pooling of blood from venous insufficiency produces unpleasant effects, such as pain and a feeling of heavy, swollen legs. It subsequently leads to the formation of varicosities, varicose veins and sometimes even varicose ulcers and eczema.

A number of clinical trials have attributed the efficacy of bioflavonoids, particularly diosmin, in reducing negative bodily reactions resulting from venous insufficiency and providing support for circulation.

Additionally, it might counteract Economy class’ syndrome. Those who spend too long confined in a sitting position may develop abnormal swelling in the legs and issues with small blood vessels in the body. Some research shows diosmin may aid in lessening the effects of sitting for prolonged periods.

Furthermore, there was a 2012 review conducted looking at ten studies showing potential for micronized diosmin to combat several cardiac-related issues, including varicose veins, edema, leg ulcers and tingling. In general, it was found that diosmin may improve overall quality of life.

Several clinical trials have shown that diosmin may also provide comfort from the pain and bleeding associated with hemorrhoids. Research indicates diosmin for hemorrhoids may include benefits such as reducing discharge, bleeding, and itchiness commonly associated with hemorrhoids.

Additional studies show that diosmin may lower the recovery time associated with a hemorrhoidectomy, allowing people to regain a normal lifestyle more quickly following the surgical removal of hemorrhoids.

Back Pain

Diosmin complex benefits may also extend into providing comfort from back pain. One clinical trial of 300 people reported a reduction of back pain after taking diosmin 900 mg three times a day for two weeks, followed by a maintenance serving of diosmin. With a control group, the diosmin supplement provided comparable results with taking dexamethasone and mannitol.

What is in Diosmin Plus capsules?

Diosmin Plus primarily contains diosmin, a flavonoid pigment found in certain citrus fruits and plant species of the Rutaceae family. Diosmin is an active compound that is available in several European countries as a prescription medicine and is available elsewhere as a nutritional supplement.

It’s commonly associated with benefits like strengthening blood vessel walls, increasing venous tone and normalizing capillary permeability, though further clinical studies are needed to confirm its efficacy.

What makes Diosmin Plus such an exceptional venotonic?

The diosmin complex has been shown to have many potential benefits, mainly for its support of the circulatory system and blood flow. Once ingested, it is rapidly converted into diosmetin by enzymes in the gut microflora. The diosmetin is then absorbed across the intestinal wall to be converted in the bloodstream into its more active metabolite: 3, 7-O-diglucuro.

Unfortunately, most flavonoids — and diosmin is no exception — are not very soluble, which significantly reduces their absorption through the gastrointestinal wall.

To rectify this problem, Supersmart has employed three innovative processes:

  1. Micronization — i.e., reducing the particle size of the active principle. This increases its rate of dissolution and that of the contact surface with the intestinal epithelium.
  2. The use of a buffer system increases the conversion of diosmin into diosmetin in the gastrointestinal cavity.
  3. Granulation, a clustering process that promotes circulation in blood vessels.

This approach produces a diosmin supplement that SuperSmart believes is much more absorbable than standard micronized supplements. Two studies have demonstrated that Diosmin Plus is 4–10 times more bioavailable compared with conventional micronized diosmin products.

Side Effects of Taking Diosmin Plus

Whether you are taking diosmin for varicose veins or you need hemorrhoid support, it’s important to speak with your healthcare provider before beginning any supplementation. While there have been reports of side effects while taking diosmin, only your physician will know if it’s safe for you to consume.

If you take other medications or have health issues, discuss your options with your doctor before taking Diosmin Plus to ensure it’s safe and that there are no possible drug interactions.

Whether you’re planning to take diosmin for leg swelling or to simply boost your overall circulation health, you will want to follow all of the recommended directions. Don’t exceed the recommended serving without approval from your healthcare practitioner.

There aren’t enough studies to determine if diosmin for spider veins is safe to take when pregnant or nursing. To be safe, we don’t recommend taking this supplement during those times.

You also want to dispose of your supplements once they hit the “best by” date. Open a new bottle to ensure you receive the maximum potency and avoid unwanted side effects.

If you notice any side effects when you take Diosmin Plus 900 mg, stop taking it immediately and contact your doctor. Do not start the regimen back up until it has been cleared by your healthcare professional.

How should this supplement be taken?

We recommend most adults take three 300 mg capsules, totaling 900 mg, a day. When you buy Diosmin Plus, a single bottle should last you up to 30 days.

The best diosmin supplement is sometimes combined with Hesperidin for its reported benefits and support with blood flow and providing comfort for heavy leg syndrome during and post-menopause.

Diosmin is commonly well-tolerated in most patients. Keep this supplement and all others out of the reach of children and pets. It is only intended for use by healthy adults.
