Liver Support Formula — Liver Health Supplements

Liver Support Formula vegetarian capsules contain natural ingredients that work synergistically to boost and protect liver function. By stimulating detoxification of the liver, production of glutathione — the most important liver antioxidant — and regeneration of liver tissue, our liver health supplements represent a powerful aid to overall liver functionality and are available to buy at Supersmart.

Let’s look at how the liver works, why you need good supplements for liver health, and what the benefits of taking liver supplements are.

What are the benefits of taking liver support supplements?

Should you take supplements to support liver function? Let's first take a look at how the liver works.

This vital organ weighs about three pounds and has several jobs. In general, your liver processes everything you consume. Once the stomach and intestines digest food, it travels through your blood to the liver for more filtering. The liver is responsible for breaking down the fat and converting it to energy. More specifically, the liver produces bile, a yellow-green matter, and that helps break down the fat.

Your liver is also responsible for sugar metabolism. The liver pulls glucose out of the blood and stores it as glycogen. When your blood sugar levels get low, your liver releases this glycogen to keep you steady.

Medications, alcohol, and toxins get into the liver as they are pulled from the blood. The liver can clean up some of these substances and remove them through your stool or urine. However, there are times when supplements are needed.

The best supplements for liver health include a variety of ingredients that promote overall well-being. And, as we look at the ingredients, you’ll start to understand the benefits of liver support supplements.

Liver Support Formula Ingredients

Like the best liver support supplements, Liver Support Formula includes the following ingredients:

  • Picrorhiza kurroa extract (4 percent kutkin) stimulates liver regeneration in rats. It also has a dose-dependent choleretic effect. Animal studies suggest it’s effective at protecting the liver from biochemical changes caused by numerous toxins.
  • Artichoke leaf extract (5 percent cynarin) has antioxidant and liver-protective properties, as shown in animal studies. It improves bile flow and stimulates the regeneration of liver tissue. It’s been shown to reduce liver damage in rats poisoned by carbon tetrachloride. It also prevents cell necrosis, which generally accompanies oxidative damage.
  • Silymarin, extracted from milk thistle, is used to combat several liver problems, including cirrhosis, alcoholic steatosis, liver poisoning and viral hepatitis. It increases levels of glutathione and glutathione peroxidase in people with liver disease. It’s also a potent antioxidant.
  • Methionine plays a crucial role in the synthesis of S-adenosylmethionine (SAMe). The latter supports liver production of glutathione, the liver's foremost antioxidant protector. SAMe stimulates detoxification and regeneration of the liver.
  • Sodium R-lipoate, a R-lipoic acid salt, has excellent bioavailability. Alpha lipoic acid supports liver function by neutralizing free radicals and stimulating production, regeneration and concentration of glutathione in the liver. Alpha lipoic acid is a phase II enzyme-inducer. It also stimulates bile excretion of heavy metals and encourages glutathione production.
  • Ginkgo biloba extract has antioxidant and liver-protective effects. In studies on rats, it was shown to inhibit hepatic fibrosis.
  • Selenium provides the liver with antioxidant protection and acts via different mechanisms to protect the liver — particularly in combination with detoxifying enzymes and via anti-inflammatory effects.
  • N-acetyl-cysteine boosts glutathione production and protects against toxins.
  • L-citrulline, a non-essential amino acid and metabolite of the urea cycle, facilitates detoxification of the liver.
  • Chlorella protects the liver, specifically by encouraging the elimination of heavy metals and other toxins.

Liver Support Supplement Side Effects

Most dietary supplements for liver health aren't taken long-term, as some of the ingredients aren’t meant to be taken on an ongoing basis. For example, milk thistle in supplements to support liver health should only be taken for up to 41 months at a time.

While our natural supplements for liver support are considered safe, like with any supplement, you may experience some side effects, especially when you first start taking them. It’s always good to learn about the side effects of any new supplement you’re considering, including liver support supplements.

There’s also limited research related to liver health supplements and women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. To be safe, it's best to avoid supplements to promote liver health during these times.

Natural Liver Support Supplement Dosage Guidelines

Supersmart’s Liver Support Formula is one of the best natural supplements for liver health. We recommend taking three capsules every 24 hours. Each container contains 30 capsules. If you experience any stomach discomfort, you may want to consider taking these supplements with food.

Before starting any new supplements to improve liver health, it's extremely important you look closely at the ingredients in any other products you’re taking. You want to make sure you’re not getting too much of any one substance by taking more than one supplement that contains the same ingredient.

Additionally, if you have any underlying health conditions or you’re currently taking any medication, it's best to speak with a healthcare professional before starting the best liver support formula.

While our Liver Support Formula is considered safe for most people, only your physician knows your health condition. Buy Liver Support Formula capsules today and enjoy its benefits for liver health.
